February 2015, Nicosia – The European Mediterranean Art Association (EMAA) and the Rooftop Theatre Group are announcing their second Open Call for visual-arts, a 10-day Residency / workshop / exhibition, which will take place in mid-March 2015, within the framework of the EU funded project “Confrontation Through Art: Contemporary Art as an Instrument for Reconciliation in Cyprus”, 2014-2017.

The Residency will be curated by the young curators Basak Senova (CV) & Alenka Gregorič (CV), under their proposed concept title ‘Stepping Over the Borders – What makes a division rigid? What makes a violation reflexive?’. Four European artists are invited to participate in this Nicosia Residency, and will soon be announced.

The four Cypriot artists will be selected by the curators through this open call. Cypriot Artists have until the end of the month, the 1st March 2015,  to apply and will be notified by the beginning of  March 2015.

They will live and work together on the concept proposed from Wednesday the 11th till Friday the 20th and produce an exhibition of their artistic endeavour.
